Born on July 29, 2014 in Hazerswoude-Dorp, together with my brother and sister. My mother is a single mother, my father disappeared without a trace before we were born. When I was 6 weeks and three days old, weighing only 650 grams, Caroline and Fred picked me up to take me to their house in Alphen aan den Rijn. I was called Kitty, because they had assumed that I was a female cat, but I knew better! I grow so fast and become big and strong, because of this my owners started to doubt whether I was a female cat. On December 5, 2014 I helped them out of their dream by showing them that I really am a male cat. Caroline even took me to the vet to have it confirmed even more. That’s how my name was changed from Kitty to Kit, which sounds cooler and suits me much better.
My owners do everything they can to make me travel- and sea-worthy, for example I regularly take a nice bath. It took some getting used to, but it’s not that annoying. I’m not allowed to walk around outside, I get a harness with a leash, which I got used to very quickly. We often go out by car and I don’t find this a problem anymore, I can even sit on my owner’s lap. At home my owners bought a lot of toys for me and also hung up a net that I constantly climb into and sometimes lie in very lazily.
Our second home, the boat, is also no longer strange territory for me. I already run back and forth across the deck, jump on and off everywhere and go exploring. I don’t like walking on a leash across the jetties yet. My owners sometimes still find it scary and are afraid that I will slip in my enthusiasm and end up in the water. Well, I’ll be careful, it’s much too cold!
A little more about me.
I love playing, I love balls, but especially doing all kinds of antics in the climbing net. Sitting/lying on your lap and grunting a lot. But the windowsills in the house are also fun, there is so much to see outside. I also love visitors, then I get a lot of attention. My owners are very sweet to me and love to cuddle, but I do let them know when I don’t feel like it. I don’t lack attention here!
I heard my owners talking about going to live on the boat and that we will sail around the world with it in the future. This seems very exciting to me, I am up for the adventure. I will let you know everything I experience!
This seems very exciting to me, because I am up for the adventure. I will keep you informed about my adventures!
