Our journey started in May 2016, when we left the port of Scheveningen with our old boat, the “Pegasus”, for an indefinite period and destination.
After more than 13 years (2011-2024) of owning the Pegasus, a Gibsea 126 (44 ft), we thought it was time to look for a slightly younger and larger boat. In April 2023, we found a boat in Sint Maarten that met our requirements. It became a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2002, a spacious boat of 47 ft with, among other things, a much larger sleeping area than in our previous boat.
We have visited the following countries and islands: Spain, Portugal, Canary Islands, Morocco, Senegal, Gambia, Cape Verde, Barbados, Grenada, Trinidad, Curacao, Bonaire, Sint Maarten/Saint Martin, St. Barth, St. Eustatius, St. Kitts, Nevis, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique and Puerto Rico.
During hurricane season we usually stay in Bonaire and/or Curacao.
